Morris Men Ahoy!

Thursday, June 11th, 2009

I won’t explain… just suffice to say it was a very good party!

* STOP PRESS *

Just remembered I challenged the Morris Men to play Star Wars on the squeezebox (as I wasn’t sure they would know Omen by the Prodigy). The result is pure genius, in a weird sort of way, especially when the penny whistle gets unleashed. Enjoy…

* STOP PRESS *

Saw “Morris: A Life with Bells On” the other day. In a word, “brilliant”! In four words, “Morris Dancing Spinal Tap”. Laughed, cried, the lot. As a coincidence, I flew out to LA last week and it was on the in-flight movie choice on Air New Zealand too. Must have confused the hell out of anyone coming to England for the first time. Go see the movie, now. http://www.morrismovie.com/

Halo Wars – my take on the soundtrack

Sunday, June 15th, 2008

Xbox ran a competition a while back for fans to take a bunch of Xbox 360 trailers with the soundtrack deleted… and add their own soundtracks. I’ve been meaning to get a bit deeper into Reason for a while so it was a good opportunity to experiment. Basically, just had the trailer open in Quicktime and Reason running alongside. Every time I needed to check the synching, I did a deft flurry of mouse clicks to start the quicktime and then quickly focus Reason and press play. Kinda worked.

Anyhoo, see what you think.

If you want the audio for whtever reason, here’s the MP3 and here’s the original Reason 3 file. If you do anyhing interesting with it, I’d love to know!
