Benefits of Composite Cladding

For starters, composite cladding is very durable and can maintain its structural integrity and aesthetic appeal for many years – even when exposed to the harsh and unpredictable weather conditions of the UK. Another benefit that’s unique to our line of composite cladding products is that just like our composite fencing, each cladding board comes with a 10-year warranty – giving you that extra protection and peace of mind.

Composite Cladding Installation and Maintenance Tips

texture of composite cladding

Just like our garden screens, installing Dino’s composite cladding is relatively easy, but it still requires attention to detail and technique to ensure a professional finish and long-lasting performance. The first thing we recommend that you do is make sure that the surface where the cladding will be installed is flat, clean, and dry.

Using the right tools, including drills, saws, and fasteners, you can begin the installation process. While doing so, remember to leave adequate gaps to allow for expansion and contraction in case of abnormal temperature changes. The cladding is tongue and groove attach them together by using a composite cladding fixing

In regards to maintenance, the composite cladding requires minimal maintenance to maintain its structural integrity and perform as intended. That being said, as dirt, grime, and other particles start to accumulate, it may lose its shine, but that’s a problem that can easily be fixed. You can either use a brush or a pressure washer on a low setting to bring back the composite cladding back to its original appearance.

What our Customers Say

5/5
We wanted to cover a 5m unsightly wall on our patio area and consequently did some research into composite fencing and cladding. The cladding proved to be the better option and we prepared the wall with battening/timber frame for fixing. Dino Decking were found to be the most competitive and did the colour we wanted. 20 lengths of 4m cladding plus trims and fixings delivered within two days of ordering. Overall, a fantastic product and great service. I would definitely recommend them to everyone.

How to Choose the Right Composite Cladding

Choosing the right composite cladding for your project can be a challenge, especially if you don’t know where to start. The first thing we recommend that you do is determine whether you want to achieve a horizontal or vertical composite cladding look. Then, you need to figure out exactly how much composite cladding you’ll need.

To do that, you need to measure the total surface area in square metres. Then, you can enter the total surface area in the box provided, and our calculator will automatically calculate what quantity you need to buy.

Once that’s done, the next step is to decide the aesthetic that you want to achieve. Do you want your composite cladding exterior to appear warm and inviting, bold and sophisticated, or sleek and modern? The answer you get here will determine the colour of the composite cladding you should go for. At Dino Decking, our cladding is available in the following colours; Walnut, Pearl, and Anthracite.

And that’s about it. Once you know what composite cladding you want and how much of it you need, the next step is to order it and have it delivered right to your doorstep. If you’d like to see it in person and get a feel for it before ordering, feel free to claim your free sample pack today.

Frequently Asked Questions

What Is Dino Composite Cladding Made From?

Just like our composite balustrade, our line of composite cladding is made from a blend of high-quality materials, including 55% eco-friendly recycled wood, 40% HDPE (high-density polyethylene), and a 5% mix of additives. This combination of materials results in a durable, weather-resistant, and low-maintenance cladding solution that offers the aesthetic appeal of real timber without any of the associated drawbacks.

Please note that the exact blend of materials used can vary slightly to achieve each colour. For example, our light grey composite cladding has a slightly higher percentage of additives compared to our dark grey composite cladding.

There are many different benefits of composite cladding, which you won’t get with cladding made of traditional materials such as timber. The first and arguably most important benefit is that composite cladding is far more durable and long-lasting than wood cladding. Unlike wood cladding, composite cladding will not crack, splinter, rot, or deteriorate over time.

Another benefit of using composite cladding over cladding made from traditional materials is that it’s extremely low-maintenance. You don’t need to periodically stain or seal it to protect it from rain and UV. You don’t need to repair any cracks or have to paint it to preserve its aesthetic appeal. Once installed, you can (if you want to) carry out some basic maintenance to clean it up from any debris and grime that have accumulated over time.

Other benefits of using composite cladding over cladding made from traditional materials include:

  • It’s far more environmentally friendly
  • It’s significantly lighter and easier to install
  • It’s the more cost-efficient cladding solution over the long term
  • It’s available in various colours, allowing you to achieve the aesthetic you want

One of the main reasons behind the popularity of composite cladding is that minimal upkeep is required. Whether the composite cladding is exposed to heavy rainfall, extreme temperatures, or direct sunlight, you don’t need to worry about it splitting, cracking, or rotting.

Instead, all you really need to do is clean it using a standard brush or a pressure washer to remove any debris and grime that accumulates over time. That’s about everything you need to do to maintain Dino’s external composite cladding boards.

Yes, it is. To make our line of composite cladding boards, we didn’t use any fresh timber. Instead, we rely on a blend of eco-friendly recycled timber and recycled plastic. When the lifecycle of our composite cladding products comes to an end, a large portion of the materials can be recycled again, further minimising their impact on the environment.
